Design approach
Architecture, in the language of poetry.
A sequence of brick arches, garden courts and rooms for reading gives this cultural study its quiet rhythm. The architecture is explored as a setting for literature: a place to pause, encounter an exhibition, share a conversation and return to a book. Monumental openings are balanced by smaller, more intimate interiors, allowing the experience to move between collective life and individual reflection.
The visual studies bring together warm masonry, coloured glazing and planted courtyards. Libraries and light-filled reading rooms offer a domestic scale within the larger composition, while the galleries create a more focused setting for looking and learning. The project seeks a dialogue between the spatial memory of Persian architecture and a contemporary cultural programme.
